For this project, I decided on shoes for my subject. Shoes are an everyday tool that most of us don't really consider, despite the fact that we can't leave the house without them. For my particular project, I tried to see how many interesting ways I could photograph shoes, or in what interesting places I could find shoes. Some of the most mundane pictures are simply photos I had taken to document what I had done and where I had been that day; for example, the image in the third row down on the left is a picture of myself standing on broken glass in an abandoned building. One of the more interesting photos is one I took during a trip to Hell, Michigan. The photo in the last row all the way to the right is of the side of a barn in Hell, with a collection of colorful croc shoes nailed to it.

Overall, most of the images come from places I've been and places I frequent, which is the nature of shoes: all the places I go, my shoes have been as well.
